Bellingrath Gardens and Home.

This garden in Theodore offers a plethora of varied flora for every season of the year. Its award-winning rose garden and the Ecological Boardwalk are among the many highlights to be enjoyed throughout the year. Open daily at 8:00 am. Tickets are available until 5:00 PM daily (New Year's Day thru Thanksgiving). Bellingrath Home tours begin at 9:00 AM daily. (Note: Beginning the day after Thanksgiving through December 31st, the Gardens will remain open and tickets will be available until 9 pm for Magic Christmas in Lights. The last Home tour will begin at 8:00 pm each night). Closed on Christmas Day. See website for admission fees.


Huntsville Botanical Garden.

Located in Huntsville, the garden offers 112 acres of beautiful gardens and walking paths such as the woodland paths through the Dogwood Trail.
Other attractions include the Seasonal Butterfly House, Spring Festival of Flowers, Scarecrow Trail and Galaxy of Lights from Thanksgiving through New Year's Eve. Visit their website for operational times and admission fees.


Dothan Area Botanical Gardens
.

Located in Dothan, a very large area of these southern gardens include rose, herb, daylily, camellia, native azalea, meditation and butterfly gardens plus demonstration gardens, nature trail, wooded areas and a one acre pond. Operation Schedule: Gardens open sun up to sun down. Admission free.


The Birmingham Botanical Gardens.

The Friends of Birmingham Botanical Gardens is a volunteer-based organization in partnership with Birmingham Botanical Gardens. It promotes public knowledge and appreciation of plants, gardens, and the environment and receives, raises and administers resources for these purposes. Operating hours: Sunrise to sunset, 365 days per year. See website for admission fees.


Mobile Botanical Gardens

Located in the heart of the City of Mobile, these gardens offers a rare blend of cultivated areas and nature trails. Within its 100 acres are native and exotic azaleas, camellias, hollies, magnolias, roses, ferns and perennials plus a 40-acre longleaf pine habitat. The Gardens are open year round from dawn to dusk. There is no admission fee, though donations are appreciated. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Guided tours available on request.
