Atlanta Botanical Garden

This Atlanta garden offers plant collections such as tropical, desert, orangerie, orchids and much more for the purpose of display, education, research, conservation, and enjoyment. It also includes an extensive shade gardens, a children's garden, and a conservatory.

The Georgia Golf Hall of Fame's Botanical Gardens

This Botanical and tropical display gardens are located along the Savannah River in Augusta. Its features include a rose, Asian and sculpture garden. Sculptures of golf celebrities all have permanent homes in these gardens. Check website for visiting times and admission charges.

Georgia Perimeter College Botanical Garden

This native plant garden in Decatur features many plants saved on rescue missions throughout the Southeast, most notably a large fern collection. The garden offers a safe haven for rare and endangered species of the Southeast. See website for visiting hours and admission

Georgia Southern Botanical Garden

This university garden near the campus in Statesboro, boasts a cottage garden of traditional shrubs, perennials and annuals, a rose arbor, a bird and butterfly border and growing collections of daylilies. It offers a unique view of the cultural and natural heritage of the southeastern coastal plain, an area rich in unique and endangered plants. The Garden nearly 11 acre site, located in the middle of the growing city of Statesboro, includes walking woodland trails, the Bland Cottage Visitor Center and Gift Shop, Heritage Garden, Rose Arbor, Children Vegetable Garden, Camellia Garden, Native Plant Landscape Garden, Native Azalea Collection and Bog Garden.

Operation hours:

10 a.m.- 4 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. The Garden Gates are open daily from 9 a.m. - dusk

Admission to the Garden is free. Visitor guides are available at Bland Cottage.

State Botanical Garden of Georgia


Located in Athens Georgia’s flora is among the most diverse foster appreciation, understanding, and stewardship of plants and nature through collections and displays, horticultural gardens, educational programs, and research. The Garden is a "living laboratory," a vital resource for the teaching, research, and public service missions of the University.

The Garden is open daily 8:00 am to 6:00 pm October-March, and 8:00 am to 8:00 pm April-September. The Visitor Center is open Tuesday through Saturday 9:00 am to 4:30 pm and on Sundays 11:30 am to 4:30 pm except official University of Georgia holidays.
