Historic London Town & Gardens

Located on the South River on Edgewater, this garden offers a mixture of plants set into a landscape that is similar to their native habitat and employs an unusual and artful combination of native and exotic plants. The naturalized woodland shade garden includes plantings of bloodroot, trillium, lady’s slipper, hardy orchids and other natives.

See website for operating hours and admission charges.

and views available there have plans and depictions of gardens from
the medieval period through to the late nineteenth century.
